iv'e played some games in my time so iv've listed the games that i think were the best games in the 8,16,32 and 64 bit areas

8-bit: super mario bros 3

16-bit: super mario all-stars

32-bit: bomber man for the sega saturn

64-bit: super smash bros

These are probably the games I spent the most time with on each generation:

8-bit: Super Mario Bros.

16-bit: Street Fighter II

32-bit: Final Fantasy VII

64-bit: Goldeneye

I dislike this whole 'bit' nonsense, makes it sound like the Jaguar is a generation ahead of the Xbox. Anyways:

3rd gen: Legend of Zelda
4th gen: Super Mario World
5th gen: Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night
6th gen: The Red Star

64-bit: Super Mario 64 (N64) (but only just!)

32-bit: Street Fighter Zero 3 (Saturn)
128-bit: GTA: Vice City (PS2)

Never owned a 64 bit console and not been much of a PC gamer lately so I left that one out.
