My mother in law gave my wife censored for not agreeing to have her over this weekend but we've said Monday or GTFO.

On a lighter note....

Barney is close to where I live and it's been amusing to hear people constantly pronouncing it wrong.
I'm having trouble sleeping as i keep thinking of how to pronounce it, dont tease us Ulrich, please tell us !
Lol. Ok most are calling it bar- nard or barn- hard. Its bar-nerd. Or just Barney. That funny paddy McGuinness video is an prime example of how not to say it.

Anyway... in the past week we've had to bar three people for not following our one way system. Not for the fact they were going the wrong way as such just for the abuse they were giving my staff after being told. Won't put up with it.

Every store is like this, eve if I am also guilty of not following the arrows, I really don't want to have to go down an isle of no interest just to come up one that has what I want on the end of it.
This is the big Asda near me
Others dont give a toss.
Smaller stores near me have also tried to do the same thing, but I am always in after that one person that takes ages to shop stopping every step

No need to panic, it's just a regular dose of flu so unless you're particularly vulnerable it just means a week or two off work, not death.

My only issue with panic buying is some f***ker has gone around the various stores and bulk bought all the postal supplies (must be wrapping themselves up to post somewhere safe) and I'm having to improvise more with ebay sales as they are my only income right now, and it's not even from only priority items coming in as for the most part stock orders are normal in my local shops now.

New flu strains come along each year, it's why it's still with us. Scientists work out the most likely ones to spread here based on what's circulating in the Southern Hemisphere's winter flu season, and incorporate several of them in to the flu jab.

I realise it's important to get children back to school, but fining parents for keeping their children home when school starts again in September is a nasty way to go about it. For many schools the "safety" plans involving bubbles are going to be unworkable anyway, staggering start and lunch times and keeping year/class groups apart.

Are they back in school during what would be the 6 weeks break?

They wont be able to keep kids apart, so second wave coming?

Doesn't the issuing of fines remain at the headteachers discretion? I can't see many adopting a hard line stance, though a few may do.

The chances of kids getting it is tiny. Not worried one bit. My kids have been going to school since day 1 as the ex is a key worker.

Don’t think there’ll be a second wave due to schools reopening

They dont need to catch it, it can spread via them.
How many kids have you seen that cover there mouths when sneezing or coughing?

it isn't even the sneezing and coughing.

We know a major means of transmittal is touch. Kids touch everything and everyone they come in contact with. They'll be taking it from adults to one another to other adults with their grubby little hands.
