As the title says, what's your favourite arcade game by Japanese coin-op company Nichibutsu?
There's a lot of obscure games by also some real classics so pick wisely!
Here's a video of them all in action.
And here is a list of their many games.

Straight to Crazy Climber for me!
Though it's the bloody sound effects of Moon Cresta I can't get out of my head

Crazy Climber for me too. Always been a favourite of mine since I was a kid on holiday at Butlins.

Everyone who says Moon Cresta is wrong, unless they haven't played a single other Nichibutsu game. It may evoke the earliest fond memories, but it's horrible to play!

Well, I've played Moon Cresta, Terra Cresta, Galvan, mag Max and Crazy Climber...
and MOON CRESTA is the one for me!

Never understood why a plug n play Crazy Climber wasn't produced for at home. On Coin Op TV during an interview it was even mentioned as there were so many requests for it.
Yeah, Moon Cresta- could never get the hang of that. But those sound effects etch in and don't let go

I've always found Terra Cresta to be better than Moon Cresta.
I would really like to like Crazy Climber, but I still haven't managed to learn how to properly control the character

Crazy climber needs twin sticks to play properly, since each stick is dedicated to right/left hands. With a decent twin stick setup, it feels quite normal to be reaching up/down/left/right with one hand then following on with the other in a climbing motion. It doesn't work nearly so well if you try to use a joypad or keys. Not played it in years, but pretty good once you get the hang of it.

Yeah, played it a bit on MAME and kind of got the hang of button control once you get into the swing of things, but really does need the two sticks to play properly.
Would love a decent home version, if not a plug n play with decent stick control the sticks on a xbox/PS pad would do if it was available for store purchase/download

Looks like Moon Cresta was the run away winner here!
