Played the demo yesterday and have to say: Damn, I want Bioshock. The art-style, the lighting, the sound, everything's nearly breathtaking. And FINALLY a proper nextgen-game which isn't a racer or a war-shooter.

Love FPS games, even though if its the same thing over and over again.

I usually Play Counter Strike Source or Halo 2 quite a bit, Online + FPS is meant to be

Gameplay too, of course. On the surface it's just like a regular shooter. But the more you play, the more you get different solutions for bringing down more powerful enemies. The combination of plasmids and the environment for example. Imo one big leap in the shooter genre.

GOW2, the only PS2 game in the last year that has impressed me...
And, in PC, The Civilization series, altough Civ III was much of a dissapointing to me, Civ IV has restored my faith

The problem i see with modern games is that they are visually impactating, but gameplay is not half as funny as most 80-90 classics.
The power on the modern consoles is used mainly for graphics, and they forgot that the main point of a game is make the player enjoy his time. Some games are as funny as a travel agency brochure... beatiful images, but nothing else...
As an example, i think PsionÂ´s Speccy Match Point is the leader in tennis games...graphics are crap, but the gameplay is impressive... and in only 48K and 16? colours. Beat that, PS3

Gears of war and Crackdown are great games.
Viva Pinata is great fun.

My favorite though has to be Dead Rising. I dont even bother going through the levels. Just get tooled up and wipe out zombies. Great fun. Never tire of this.
