Thanks jdanddiet for the heads up about Neon Knights arcade in Leigh-on-sea.
I'd never heard of it before now and it's just a few stops on the train for me.
I will be making a trip there very soon. Can't wait. :D
No worries mate, ally and dave and co are a friendly bunch and theres the retro Hunter store next door you have your wallet handy!

Where? Tokyo! Most districts have a 'cade of some description, but Takadanobaba and Akihabara are probably the best, certainly for those of us with a retro fetish. Many other cities have them - found one in a suburb of Osaka this year with plenty of extremely old cabs amongst sufficient middle-period goodies. There's a Tokyo 'cade thread over in Off Topic.

Potentially one opening up in Northampton. Would have preferred Kettering, but Northampton is doable for me ... -1-9202451

I pretty much watched the Yarmouth area ones disappear growing up, very rarely you'll get an older machine pop up but mostly its 2p machines, did get lucky for a bit in Hemsby as a pub had several good cabs but they got shot of them last I looked.

Don't remember being much in Leysdown but then I went back in 2011, found out using the silent Ridge racer set up that I could never own a MX5 as my head cleared the top of the windscreen.
