^ Bought a modded Wii just for Muramasa, and I'm really happy with how many other great games are available for it.

Re: The Greatest Games Of All Time
Amazing how different everyone's choices are isn't it? There's games in peoples all time faves list that I have never played, and some I haven't even heard of
Re: The Greatest Games Of All Time
1. Final Fantasy VII - There's only one game I revisit on a near yearly basis, a game that invokes as much emotion now as it did the first time I played it...Final Fantasy VII. And that's why it's my favourite game ever.
2. Fallout 3 - The first time you step out into The Capital Wasteland, and you realise just how vast the world is...wow. I got this game at the same time as my uni flatmate, and we both started our journeys in a completely different way. I found Big Town, he found Megaton. Two people could play this game and have completely different experiences. Brilliant.
3. The Secret of Monkey Island - A lot of people seem to prefer the sequel. I don't. I played this when I was fairly young, and I'm not sure how (considering how obscure some of the puzzle solutions are) but I managed to complete it. I guess I was motivated to take the trial and error route because the story was so captivating and funny. A true classic.
4. Final Fantasy IX - I didn't really like this first time I played it, but it's a game I've appreciated more with age. One of the most imaginative Final Fantasy games ever. And maybe they used all their imagination up in this one, because it was all downhill from here for the franchise.
5. The Witcher 3 - An edit for when this is eventually tallied up. The best game of the current generation so far by my estimation.
6. Pokemon Red & Blue - Diamond and Pearl are probably my favourite Pokemon games, but on a list like this I think it makes sense to go with the installments that started it all. Between each version of Pokemon I must have given more than a thousand hours of my life...crazy.
7. Super Mario 64 - This game hasn't aged a bit. Heck, I doubt it ever will. It's had so many imitators it SHOULD feel dated, but it just doesn't. Creative and groundbreaking, even today.
8. Sonic 3 & Knuckles - The best Sonic game ever. Seems to be a lot of hatred towards Tails and Knuckles these days, but I found them much more enjoyable to play as than Sonic himself. Each brought an interesting dynamic to this game, and gave it plenty of replay value.
9. The Walking Dead Season 1 - Draining, emotional and heartbreaking. Groundbreaking in providing the template for the modern adventure game.
10. Xenoblade Chronicles - The Wii has far more classics on it than it's given credit for, and this is certainly one of them. This is the kind of game the modern Final Fantasy should aspire to be.

Re: The Greatest Games Of All Time
that will likely be one of the very first titles I will be hunting down, in rather aggressive fashion. I've only just seen how many sports titles there are in particular, I think for me 2015 will be Year of The Wii.sscott wrote:Try Wii Sports Resort, just for the table tennis. amazing!ncf1 wrote:dammit you guys.. all this talk about Wii Sports being so great, and me loving sports games and never having tried it.. well now I've gone and bought myself a Wii just to experience it, THANKS A BUNCH!
