Some people might actually like it.
I remember buying a couple of bottles of a real ale made by a Welsh microbrewry called Welsh Dragon. It was a limited edition beer brewed with chillis.

That sounds like it could be pretty tasty actually, then again what sort of chilli are we talking here?SCALEBACK wrote:It was a limited edition beer brewed with chillis.

Re: Instant Regret Chilli Chocolate
A few weeks ago I was tempted by a chilli chocolate porter ale by Waen Brewery.
I love my ale & am a big fan of the porter style but for me the chilli taste was just too overpowering

Re: Instant Regret Chilli Chocolate
We've had chilli ales at the beer festival here. Quite nice, but a half is enough or its overpowering, much like the ginger ones.
I've tried chilli chocolate and its ok, butI do wonder if this stuff is like the sweets we used to get from The Joke Shop that are unbearably hot, more a test of endurance than an enjoyable treat.

I like it. It's how chocolate was originally made by the Aztecs, making a drink of cocoa beans and chilli.

I like firebox, it's a decent site. So far I have had the chilli gummy bears and the chilli sweets which were both lovely. I've also had the Tabasco chocolates which are also really tasty. That instant regret will definitely be sampled by oneself at some point in the not too distant future.HalcyonDaze00 wrote:http://www.firebox.com/product/5520/Ins ... -Chocolate

Re: Instant Regret Chilli Chocolate
A good chilli chocolate with the right combination of both is lovely. I suspect that one's a deliberate mouth-burner, though. I saw some in a store the other day which was a box of twelve chocolates, three of which were stupidly hot chilli chocolate. It was supposed to be a kind of Russian Roulette game. I left it there...
