Messi or Ronaldo?

Post by crusto » Thu Dec 11, 2014 5:07 pm

And the reason why please.

For me it's Messi. Although Ronaldo is fantastic I prefer Messis demeanour on the pitch and honesty in the face of hackers. I think he shades it in overall skill too. Unbelievable player and for me has no equal either now or from the past.

That said though, I think CR has the edge in terms of overall form over the last year or so.

Honourable mention to Ronaldinho.

Different type of players that they are, Ronaldo for me - simply for his power, his personality and the aura and glamour that surrounds him. Messi, brilliant player that he is, just doesn't seem to have that star quality that all the greats seem to have. And neither have done it at the World Cup...

And as for all time greats, Maradona of course is tops - would like to see how Messi and Ronaldo would get on in a sh!t Napoli team... ...and then Best of course.

Messi, because football's a team game and he's a team player.

Messi.

It's very close, Ronaldo probably has the edge on long range shooting and and heading, but Messi is the better passer, creator, dribbler and finisher.

Both are obviously stunning players

Messi for me though, seems to be a great team player, doesnt go for headlines week in week out with the tabloids. Ronaldo is world class of course but seems to love all the crap which follows him in the media

Sure most players are the same, it wont just be Messi doing that as lots of players will use the same financial agents etc. Hes just named as hes the biggest player, i do find it crazy when he earns so much money (money he'll never be able to spend in a lifetime) yet they still try and avoid tax etc

Its like Floyd Mayweather, he can spend a million dollars a day for the rest of his life (been reported) and still will have money . How much money do these multi millionaire footballers really need !?

Can't be doing with either. Both are overrated and can't perform on the world stage; this is beacause players aren't allowed to tackle in Spain.
