Soleil's good if you're into your Zelda-like games. I'm not, so I don't like it, but if you're "into" action-RPGs, go for it. Sonic has a cameo in it, which is nice.

Maximum Carnage - seen a charity shop cartridge that is red? Is that legit or a knock off? It's go not box, but it's £6.

It's legit, only ever seen red carts. That price is nothing too exciting, complete its worth £30+ but cart only probably no more than a tenner.

going to look out for some interesting (and cheap) md stuff at playexpo, the great thing about the md is that there are a lot of fun games that are also cheap

Finally got lost Vikings the other day from eBay after avoiding bin men prices. Funnily enough at auction it went for a lot less than most were asking bin...
Same story for buck Rogers ctd on a lesser scale.

Contra hard corps
It's excellent,
Is it as good as SNES contra? As that is a very hard act to follow. I never played the MD Contra.

It's so different it's not really fair to compared. Contra Spirits is slower paced but mega hard. Contra Hard Corps is like Hollywood Contra and mega hard!

I think i may prefer it. It's basically contra spirits on steroids with insanely inventive baddies. They are both amazing games mind and spirits is a little less clunkier due to the extra buttons.

What about aesthetically? Surely the MD version would struggle to top the SNES, especially in terms of the bosses..

Probably because it's new and you are a raving MD fanboy at the moment.

Not to say it's isn't damn awesome though, it is.
