Re: Resident Evil HD Remaster
It does appear the be the GameCube one, but with 16:9. Apparently the background graphics have to be redrawn or something as well.
Re: Resident Evil HD Remaster
I'll wait to see how it fares technically and whether a decent job has been done. If the final product is inferior to the GC version in any way then I won't bother as I already have that version on my shelf.

If it downloadable only then it is a 'No' as I like a physical copy only!
Re: Resident Evil HD Remaster
Yeah I'll be buying, it must be nearly 10 years since I played the cube version, and I was actually thinking about starting to play through it again, so might as well wait for the PS3 version now I guess.
Re: Resident Evil HD Remaster
I'm not forking out £20 for another HD update. GC versions good enough then and ill wait till it comes out on PS+.

Re: Resident Evil HD Remaster
Deffo getting this. Great game, great remake... actually its a remake of a remake. I already own Resident Evil on PS1 and Gamecube but will welcome a new HD version. Its like watching a good film that you love. Its been a good few years since i've finished the cube version so i'm looking forward to a replay

Probably not.. I still feel burnt by the RE4 HD which was just rubbish in my opinion - most of the 'enhancements' took away from the original game! I spent most of the time cursing. Then again RE4 is my favourite game and to mess with that is just playing with fire, I think Morrissey said once if he'd like to change anything about his face he said "No.. why would I want to mess with perfection?" and I find this to be a perfectly apt comparison albeit perhaps a bit creepy.
The only good thing was the cemetery lightning which did enhance that particular section of RE4.
I'll have to wait and see.

Like others here I am going to wait and see as the cube version is so good anyway, it still looks fantastic now.
Now if only capcom would bloody give Resident Evil 2 the same treatment. The demand is certainly there for that to be a sure fire smash.

I can't decide. For me a lot depends upon the pricing and availability. Get that right (£20-£25, physical release) and I might take a punt.

The annoying thing is that Japan will likely get a physical version as they do with most of the HD updates but understanding the game will be impossible.resident paul wrote:If it downloadable only then it is a 'No' as I like a physical copy only!

my buddy has got the japanese PS3 disc release of Okami HD... the bugger wont sell it to me.

I picked up the disc version of Vampire Resurrection myself. Keep meaning to get the disc release of the Dungeons and Dragons re-release. Japan even got a special edition which looked rather nice but would likely be too expensive to get hold of now.
