Got a cask of Golden Pride coming down to my next beer festival... I've squeezed another one in on the August Bank Holiday :D

Ahhhh - Dark Star Brewery. Yes, I have heard of them, and I think I have tried some of their ales.

Yep - that's one of their better ales. I have tried that in the bottle. It's pretty good. Like you said, London Pride is okay - but nothing to write home about.

Anyway, yesterday I tried some of the Hoppy Hour Ale from the Just a Minute Brewery up in County Durham. It's 4 % ABV. It was light brown in hour colour and quite hoppy. I think the brewery is still fairly new.

I'm off to the Great British Beer Festival on the trade day (Tuesday next week). 3000+ ales

It is going to be awesome and messy.

Then, the following week I'm having a Beer & Cider festival at the club :D Anyone from down here is more than welcome (and anyone else that wants to come down!).... Bank holiday weekend.....

I tried one of these yesterday. Wasn't expecting much as they are only £1.99 each in Whetherspoons, and I dont usually like stuff out of a can. This was really nice though!

There were 2 others there but cant remember the names

Yeah, I mentioned them on here before. They are those American "craft beer" lagers developed by the Six Point Brewery for Wetherspoons. They are okay actually. Unlike a lot of American beers - they actually have flavour!

Never had a chance to try them. I do like some of the yank craft beers though - so will look for them if I should go into a Spoons :D

Had some random Japanese beer called Asahi last night. Nothing amazing but drinkable enough.

Glad you enjoyed it. Always good to meet up with friends form here :D Nice to see Nakimura too.

Absolutely knackered though. 16 hours a day for the last 4 days and another one of them tomorrow (well, in 7 hours time). But well worth it :D

Need a Retro Event with a beer festival!
