Video Games Within Video Games.

Post by Green Bert » Wed Jun 18, 2014 2:07 pm

I can think of a few but what are the others.

1.Space Rogue C64 (Origin Systems, 1989). You get to play an arcade game called Hive when you land at the Space stations in the game.
2. Pyjamarama C64 (Micro-gen, 1984). There is a Video Games room which is upside down and you get to play a nightmarish game of SPace Invaders
3. Shenmue 1+2 (Sega) 1999. Features a walk in Arcade where you play many old SEGA games. As well as offering the chance to win a Sega Saturn game to play at your home in Dobuita.

Few I can think of.

GTA SA - in your house on grove street you can play some form of space invaders game

Bully, I'm sure there are a few arcades in there, can't remember what ones though

Little big planet 2, on one of the story levels I'm sure there is a astoroids game

Also, does play station home count?

Lazy Jones on C64 is little more than a collection of minigames like simple Space Invaders clones.

Day of the Tentacle lets you play Maniac Mansion if you use the computer in one of the rooms.

Archer's Pool Paradise on the Cube has a Dropzone cab by the pool table.

Booty on the Spectrum will give you a completely different game if you load it with a Currah Microspeech attached.

Donkey Kong 64 features both, Jet Pac and the original Donkey Kong. You have to complete both in order to finish the game.

Animal Crossing has loads of NES games to find. You can either play them in game or download and play on your GBA. Nice touch, that. :)

Also, I'm sure theres a game that gives you Rally X when its loading. Can't remember which game it is now though.....

Zub for the Spectrum had vertically shoot em up game that you could access through a poke. Although well hidden it made Zub even better value for money for your £2.99!

Also one of the Joe Blade games (I think its the 2nd one) has a playable version of Pacman while it loads.

My memory is a bit hazy on this but Mystical Ninja on the Snes has the 1st level of Nemesis as a bonus game.

Doesn't Goldeneye have a working Spectrum in it with a bunch of Rare games? Can't remember if it's accessible without hacking though. Does that count?
