Please help identify breakout clone! ST/Amiga

Post by Dirk Gently » Fri Apr 04, 2014 7:10 pm

Hi everyone, I'd love to know the title of this -

I played it on my Atari ST in 87/88? Or thereabouts.

What I do remember - a plain black background (starfield effect perhaps),

Fairly nondescript graphics though adequate.

And the main thing - sampled sound effects!

Each brick colour had it's own sampled 'ping' or whatever, and a melodious 'xylophone' type of tune could soon be rocking out of my little portable.

Never seen/heard of it since, it was given on a disc by a friend and I didn't know what it was called even then.

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Sounds very much like PD software to me. Be lucky to find a breakout/Arkanoid clone from that, but hopefully will ring a bell with someone.

It could be Impact by Audiogenic, which had a plain black background.

Impact is the only game I can think of as well.
