5 points - Nintendo DS. It rekindled the interest in simpler and more old-school games when everyone was obsessed with 3d and "cinematic" experiences.
4 points - Gamecube. Such a pretty console without any gimmicks and some of the best games of all time: Wind Waker, Metroid Prime and Resident Evil 4.
3 points - Megadrive. The coolest looking console ever, and even though it wasn't as powerful as the SNES, it was amazing for the arcade conversions.
2 points - Master System. The most underrated console of all time. Some of the best arcade conversions for an 8 bit system and very colourful and pretty graphics. I prefer it over the NES
1 points - Game boy. Unlike the other handhelds it was really portable and it had some great games.

5 - Mega Drive
4 - XBox 360
3 - PlayStation 2
2 - Dreamcast
1 - PlayStation

This is the first time I've done one of this lists and not had to um and ah about my entries or make any compromises. Quite painless, really :)
Suppose you were an idiot; suppose also that you were an XBox One owner. But I repeat myself.

5 points - Nintendo 64
4 points - PS2
3 points - Sega Megadrive
2 points - Nes
1 point - Wii

Aside from currently also owning a PS3 and having a short lived affair with the original xbox when it came out, these are the only consoles I've owned. Now I'm a bit older and can appreciate the sheer quality of the Nintendo systems over the years, I regret not having a snes and a gamecube in my life back in their respective generations.

5. Mega Drive - I'd hate to know the number of months of my life that I've spent playing on this console
4. PlayStation 3 - not retro, but it's the first console for many years that I've managed to devote considerable time to
3. Master System - introduced console gaming to me, taught me that I didn't need to rely on dodgy tapes that took forever to load to play games
4. PlayStation 2 - a massive library of games, tomorrow's retro gems.
5. Gameboy - underpowered, black and white but popularised handheld gaming and paved the way for the DS and possibly even casual mobile phone gaming

5 Pts. PS1, this is the machine that reignited my interest in games, from the new 3D era to good arcade perfect retro compilations to cracking RPGs. And a cracking Doom! :)

3 Pts. 360

2 Pts. Megadrive

1 Pt. C64

4. SNES
3. Colecovision, my first proper console, great arcade conversions and I personally thought the controller was quite good.

Comode 64 isn't even an electrical item, it's a biological waste product produced by swamp rats and small ferrets

5 - Xbox 360 - Played some stunning games on that - Fallout 3, Skyrim...the best gaming experience I've had thus far.
4 - Atari 2600 - Looks basic now but at the time..
3 - Neo Geo - An arcade in your home doesn't get much better than that.
2- Gameboy advance - Could have gone for the gameboy but this was graphically and audibly superior which I prefer.
1- SNES - Mariokart, Legend Of Zelda anyone?
