Game Gear. I love the chunky look and feel to it.

Playstation. I can't fault the thing, it's just iconic.

Xbox. It's so big it's bordering on vulgar, and I love that. When i first unboxed it the just looked massive. "I'm big, I'm heavy, the ridges on my casing make me really annoying when your dusting, but I've got Halo."

SG-1000 II - looks amazing and I love the funny text on the top of it

Wondermega - I've always thought it was very pleasing to the eye

Image

Master System - I maybe wrong on this one really but I have always liked the look of it. No photo required really.

I sound like a Sega fanboy looking at the above but there are plently of Sega consoles I dislike the design of.

1) Megadrive 2 - loads better then the original, small and sleek.
2) PS1 - cracking iconic look, not too many grey consoles nowadays!
3) Saturn - slightly chunkier Megadrive ' nuff said, the white look of the japanese one was awesome though.

Honourable mention - Dreamcast - shame the controllers looked horrible (though were good to use unlike the N64!)

Worst: -

1 & 2) Xbox, Xbox 360 - just cannot stand the design of the machine, it looks awful!
3) PS2 - why have it designed for it's side? Yet putting it flat it wasn't symmetrical! ARGH OCD ATTACK!

- The Panasonic 3DO FZ1
- The original Playstation looked pretty nifty.
- The goldy coloured Saturn.

and I can't count, so this:

Someone should inform Japan that this is how the consoles they make should look.

Consoles I didn't like the look of: N64 and SNES. Too Fisher Price for my tastes. The Wii looks good. And I do have a soft spot for the ol' George Foreman Grill aka PS3. Looks like a piece of posh 1970s stereo (hifi) equipment to me.

Pffft, the original megadrive was really boring looking, the overly round bit of the middle was more obvious, and that volume control thing on it was completely pointless, besides red was better then white, duh!

It's not pointless when the MD1 is attached to a Mega CD.

Still never needed it personally, however I will concede with MD1 and MCD1 put together, it was space saving and looked better then the MCD2 + MD2.

Right I've been racking my brain about this and my top 3 are...

In at number 1 -
Black Gamecube.

Number 2 -
Original SILVER PS2.

And in 3rd place -
White Dreamcast.

Can't say I've ever really thought about but I kinda like the PS3, Jaguar looks alright (though to my eye it looks like it ought to play CDs without an odd on) and, believe it or not, a big bland ATX PC. Nothing says "I mean business" like a big ol' PC sat in the corner.
