We've got one of these in the Heart Foundation at the moment - went out on the shop floor on Friday.DreamcastRIP wrote:Mine is a Pioneer CLD-D925
Is £45 a fair price? (Mind you, even if it is I'd need a stroke of luck to afford it there and then.

There's about 20 discs as well, all individually priced starting at £3.

Very fair. It was pretty much the best player the UK had released here. It's the model I have. Any decent films. Are they pal or NTSC films to?Liamh1982 wrote:We've got one of these in the Heart Foundation at the moment - went out on the shop floor on Friday.DreamcastRIP wrote:Mine is a Pioneer CLD-D925

There's a mix between the two in terms of PAL/NTSC. Off the top of my head the discs include (or in a few cases included; it seems we've sold a few - the Indy trilogy, Return of the Jedi etc.) :
Blackadder II
Both seasons of Fawlty Towers
Pulp Fiction
The Shawshank Redemption
Casino
The Crow
Menace II Society
Top Gun
Mission Impossible
Apollo 13
The Hunt For Red October
That's definitely not all of them - nice little starter pack for someone. Just a shame it almost certainly won't be me!

Just picked up a new disc. Star Trek Voyager Basics Parts 1/2. The poor guy on ebay must have made nothing from selling it. I paid 99p plus £1:50 P&P and it cost him £3:00 to post it to me !!!

Re: Laserdisc Player question please help....
I still haven't come across a Laserdisc player in my travels. I'm not sure I'd even buy one if I did I'd just like to actually find one
My dad did recently pick up a Laserdisc mixed in with a few LPs he bought from the charity shop, not sure what it is exactly but it looks like it came from Hong Kong and is full of music from various artists from that region I don't recognise well apart form one which is Jackie Chan. Pretty interesting find really.

I threw out two broken players years ago, but I still have some disks kicking around in the loft, mostly PAL CLV, but i think one or two are CAV.
I didn't know anyone was still remotely interested in laser-Disks!
I can dig them out and let you know what they are if anybody is interested?
