I recently traded a couple of PS2 games for a Master System and I was wondering which are the classic games I should buy?
I used to be a NES guy when I was younger so don't know that much about its old rival.
Cheers.

I was absolutely astounded at the conversions of Sonic 1 & 2 on the master system, especially sonic 2. An astounding feet on programming on an 8 bit system , both games play as well as their megadrive counterparts.
Sorry for stating the obvious

, but out of all the master system games I've had / have these two still play very well after all this time.
Although I never had it on the master system, I used to waste hours on the game gear version of colums as well, easily as good a puzzle game as tetris.
Again apologies for stating obvious games but they play bloomin well

Senible Soccer is definately one of the better conversions, lots of fun for 5 mins.
Wimbledon is superb, Prince of Persia is stunning for the hardware, Sonic Chaos is astoundingly pretty for 8-bit.

If you can find a copy I would recommend R-Type as well.

Echo all of the above, especially Wonder Boy III : The Dragon's Trap.
Also look at Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse, and Land of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse.

Definitly
R-type, plus the
Sonic games - as people have said, these have to be seen to believed! As good as the Megadrive versions!
Wonderboy is another must have, infact all the wonderboys, oh, and my Missus just said "Don't forget the
Alex Kidd games!!!!!!" - So, don't forget them!

Operation Wolf was brilliant.
Amongst others like R-Type of course and the brilliant Wonderboy games.

Nah, it's not bad... it's terrible.
Other than that, I can't disagree with these suggestions. The SMS is a fantastic system, well traded.

Wonderboy III: The Dragon's Trap is genuinely one of the most well crafted and constructed games ever made. Worth owning a Master System for on it's own.
