master system

Post by snowkatt » Wed Nov 07, 2012 12:14 pm

bow before the master !

ahem i am sure if the master played vidoe games it would be on the master system

anyway i am playing with the idea again to get myself a master system ( never had one )
so which one is th best to get if i only want to play games ? 1 or 2 ? ( which is the cheapest might be a better question)
and what are some good games for the machine ( no ghostbusters please )
hey wait ! i got a new complaint !

Depends what you want. The 1 has safari hunt (awesome) and hang on, whilst the 2 has Alex Kidd.

Games?

Wonder Boy in monster land
Wonder Boy 3
Spellcaster
Space Harrier
Rastan
And my all time fav.........Action Fighter!

May not be the best games, but certainly ones I enjoyed in my youth and still do!

Cant vouch for the 2, but I bought a Master System 1 a few years ago, and it still works fine. The controllers can be a bit dicey, but both I had worked fine.

2 only has RF out.

1 has RGB out and looks like sex.

You know what to do.

Yeah, you'd need to mod it even for composhit.

It doesn't have the card slot either.

Basically it's rubbish, get a model 1.

Get a Mega Drive and a Power Base converter. Best of both worlds.

Or a Master Gear - play 'em on the move (until the batteries give out! ).

I RGB modded my Master System 2 and get a better picture than on my Master System 1. No jailbars.

Land Of Illusion
Asterix
Sonic 1 & 2 (swerve Chaos - awful game)
Fantasy Zone 1 & 2
R-Type
Teddy Boy
Populous
Mortal Kombat (though probably rose-tinted specs on that one)

There's a great conversion of Bank Panic for it.
