Re: The Warriors...
Great film, I watched it about 16 years ago in a hotel room in Brighton (Was only 14!) and thought it was really good...
Watched it again a few years ago and bought the DVD...
Anyone tried the video game on XBOX/PS2? I think I have it on XBOX but not played it yet.

These gang films were great back in the day. The Warriors, Quadrophenia, even The Wanderers (Baldies!!
) Please God, no remakes!

Re: The Warriors...
Just found out it is indeed a book based on the ancient Greek story, decided I'm going to pick up both of those now to go alongside the DVD. It's a great film that while stylised and "of an era" the basic theme lasts really. It's just a good chase movie, and I loved the different images of the gangs. To me growing up it was basically "Streets of Rage - The Movie".
As for the remake, I don't think it'll happen now. It was supposed to be a Tony Scott movie last I'd heard.

Re: The Warriors...
Saw it first about 10 years ago and funnily enough I sat down and watched it again last night just to see if my feelings about it were correct and I can say now, with complete assurance, I think it's massively overrated lol
Does nothing for me at all if I'm honest which is a shame as it contains everything I like in a film but just doesn't work for me.
Then again, I am one of the few people I know who hated Nightmare Before Christmas and Scarface too

I liked when they fought the baseball bat guys with that censored painted on their faces. Reminded me of Kiss.

Yeah, Cleon was cool. He would of been better than the blonde guy from Xanadu

Re: The Warriors...
Every time I'm in New York I take the F train down to Coney Island, not just because of the film (it's awesome), but because it's a great place...
