I'd love to try my hand at one of the Retrorevival spreads for something like Unirally, but in general I'd quite like to see others views on games too.

Roland doesn't feel the need to resort to violence - he's above that sort of behaviour.

Thinking about it might not be too bad but i hope the reviews arent too biased as many people here are anti-other computers apart from their own.

I voted YES after reading FatTrucker's comments. A page of reader micro reviews (200 words max?) would be a good idea, with the 'prize' of having their review being published.

Sinclair User did a similar feature though it offered readers money. As you can imagine, some of the readers just wrote any old cobblers in the hope of getting a fiver ...

... and given the proliferation of reviews on t'internet, a "no plagarism" rule shold be implemented (or would we need it?)

I voted no. I find that the everyday gamer would sooner simply plug or pan a game rather than review it. So I say no.

However having a small 'reader recommends' section or something would be a nice idea.

Imagine's legal bods would probably be able to put something together that flings all repercussions back at the writer, rather than the company itself, in the same way that it does for its freelancers. For example, if I decided to rip something off and send it to Darran, and was found out by the original creator, it'd be me getting sued. As for whether it'd be needed, you see copying all over the place, so it probably would be. One of the strangest I recall was the chap who penned a load of reviews for Lemon64, before eagle-eyed forumites noticed that he'd copied them direct from old issues of Zzap!64 and Commodore Force!

Reader reviews would be pretty good, as long as they are carefully selected... if there was a month when no decent reviews were submitted, don't just stick any old rubbish in to fill page space.

Another idea for an \"interactive\" element to the front of the mag... how about doing a \"Screenshot Challenge\" like the thread on here? Maybe show one or two screenshots and then put the answers at the back of the mag (upside down, in small print, in the footer etc...)? Quick and easy to do, no shortage of screenshots.

I'd love to see some form of quiz. A magazine a while back used to have a gaming crossword, that would be great.

There was a mag a while back that did 'spot the Sonics' - that was pretty great too

to me, reader reviews never add that much value. there's often too much fanboyism in them.
