Good job with the PS2 HDD btw, it's nice for the stuff it works with. :)
Yeah, I thought everything worked!
I've got myself a compatibility list now.

What's the best way to get them on the HDD?
I've just been ripping from the ps2 drive. :?

That can take a while.

Best method is to get an IDE to USB adaptor and use WinHIIP. Definitely the fastest.

I FTP my games to HDD, which is slowish, but spares the DVD drive the stress.

Here's a guide for WinHIIP.

Games run really smoothly from HDD, GTA felt like I was playing it on PC for example but I'm afraid GTA3 couldn't load my save after saving without freezing and it froze randomly in Vice City too.

A few today:

Conan and Conflict Vietnam (both Xbox1) 99p in Cash Converters, both working and in pretty decent nick(!)

The Orange Box (360) £5.99, again from Cash Converters (minty, surprising!)

TNA Impact (PS3), £1.98 from GAME, and DJ Hero (360) for 99p, Morrisons are seeling DJ Hero 2 with the game & turntable for £10 right now, so figured it'd be wise to double the potential fun. ;)

Metro 2033 (360) £5 from HMV. Curious about this game, I'm pretty certain I'll get my fiver's worth out of it.

Was gonna buy a stack of dirt-cheap PS2 stuff from CEX but the queue was far too long, again they lose a sale. I had £5.25's worth of crap, all I really wanted to get was PS2 Extermination for 50p, I'd wager it seems far finer now than it did about 8/9 years back (when I originally had - and overlooked - it). Sort it out, CEX, I'm buying the sh!t you give people pennies for here, I feel like I want to be your f*cking binman and you won't let me, how odd is that sensation????!

I don't think I've ever been in there and the queue has been less than a million people long. The reason is the till-monkeys they have working in there spend almost all their time chatting amongst themselves. Need to get a disc from behind the till? Why not use that as an excuse to continue your inane conversation with your colleagues! That's a ten minute break right there. Atrocious.

^Yup. Sad thing is, once you reach the counter, you can't really be mad with them because (in my experience at least) they're always top blokes/blokettes, and always vastly helpful/enthusiastic.

It's always f*ckers with phones clogging stuff up, either buying or selling. They should have a separate till for mobile phones, instore congestion would be decreased massively.

Metro 2033:not bad, def.£5 worth in there, ending section bit wierd but if you've read the book it's based on...it makes 'sense', sequel on way i believe?.

PS2 Extermination:1st PS2 game i ever bought. Enjoyed it back then, not something a lot of folk seemed to do back then, but invisible dogs aside, i liked it.

Good haul there.

Picked up a SNES Score Master for a fiver last week. It was a good thing I didn't pay a penny more as it arrived wrapped in a nicotine stinking placca bag, and was completely caked in a thick layer of gag inducing brown dirt, dust and splats of white emulsion.

Fully stripped it down and it looks ace now. It appears the filth attached to it had formed a protective layer, stopping it from picking up scratches and also from UV light, so it hasn't gone 'SNES Yellow'.

What surprised me when I opened it up was that all the circuit boards and chips are marked Hori, so it looks like cheeky Nintendo farmed out the design and manufacture, then took all the credit!

Would you say it's worth a tenner bud? I've got £10 in credit but hesitate to blow it on Journey as I know it'll be discounted fairly soon...

It was £14.98 which I didn't think was too bad.
