What is your first memory of seriously laughing at a game?
It can be anything at all be it a glitch or just some game being so bad you just had to laugh. My first memory is when me and a mate were both ten years of age and he was stopping overnight at my house bringing with him his C64. He had just bought Chuckie Egg and we both had not played it so did not know what to expect. After it loaded and we started the game it gave us a difficulty option. Of course we chose setting 6 for the suicidal maniac. Well we both laughed so much we had tears streaming down our faces and our ribs hurt. We just could not get over how fast you moved and jumped around and went up and down the ladders. The game was off its nut at that speed. I can honestly say i dont think i have laughed that hard ever again at a game. And as time goes on i know i will never laugh like that again. Games are just not made like that anymore.

Probably Lemmings, with the little self destruct ones that counted down then went, "Oh no!", before exploding

i read the title, and couldn't think of anything that immediately sprang to mind. then i read the post, and realised it's probably the same for me - chuckie egg suicide mode. was superb...

Worms on the PS1 was always hilarious for funny player deaths, mostly by plopping into the sea or misuse of the ninja rope. Olympic Soccer (also PS1) was also very funny as it has a number of bugs that actually make the game more fun - for example, you can score from the centre spot if you know what you're doing, and on one occasion on of my friends backheeled the ball from the opposition's penalty spot into his own net!

Collecting the P-Balloon for the first time in Super Mario World - seeing him inflate like that, and the swanee whistle-style sound effect, I just lost it.

Poor i know but typing in swear words as a kid into Valhalla, then seeing one of the terrible graphics come over and hit me on the head for swearing, found it very very amusing back then

I remember in one of the Sensible Soccer games, you'd have your international teams, clubs teams, and then a group of 'made-up' teams and competitions with silly names, such as the Chicken League and the Egg Cup.
But what got me laughign (and I was probably only about 7 or 8 years old, to be fair) was a team called 'Cheap Thrills'; their roster was like some kind of Alan Carr gag check list, with innuendo after innuendo. Always made me giggle.

Dinky Kong on the Oric 1. I loved Donkey Kong and was so excited when I got Dinky Kong thinking it would be the same. I loaded it up and

Probably the usual... Lemmings, Worms, Torture chambers in Creatures (this is starting to sound bad, in a 'PETA will be paying me a visit soon' kind of way), and Hamsters on the Archimedes.
The latter is probably not the most common game ever by virtue of the machine it was released on, but here it is:

Always good for a laugh as a kid

Home computer club at school.
I had my Speccy +2a there and I was playing Rainbow Islands on it (a good game to show off at the time) and my computer studies teacher who was a BBC nut came over and said "Hmmmm, bit like Chuckie Egg" my mates and I just burst into laughter we seriously couldn't believe he was trying to compare the 2 games.

Worms for the 'incoming' and the deaths.
Lemmings for the 'oh no' and the deaths.
I'm sensing a theme here.
