Got that beat.... 760 mile round trip..

I was only able to make Sunday but haven't missed a big one and wasn't this time.

However because of the lack of sleep and distance and 5 pints i was totally exhausted and went up to the hotel room at 5pm to collapse. Didn't wake up again until 11pm. :o

That brings me onto the bad point...

Ayone thinking about ever staying at the Norbreck Hotel... Just don't.!

The rooms are a sh1thole. The whole place smells funny and the walls and floors between rooms are paper thin and might as well not be there. I was kept up half the night by the person next door flushing their noisey toilet which must have been about 3 feet from where i was sleeping.

Also the whole floor was full of extremely noisey argueing and door slamming unhappy housewives from Durham. :x

None could ever get their door keys to work even at 2am.

Do all Durham women sound like they are shouting when they talk.?

Back to the Premier Inn next year..

But the event i managed to stay awake for was good. :D

Even I spoke to Jeff Minter, apparently, to me he was just some guy who was walking down the street, so I asked him if he knew where any pubs were, he said he was too drunk last year to remember!

As per usual it was a great weekend, I'm not a fan of the size of the show but the effort put in by all to ensure everything comes together on the weekend deserves a fair amount of respect. The only downside was my stupid satnav, telling me to turn right when I should be turning left and taking me down country lanes on the way home, much to sscotts amusment, and adding at least an hour on to our journey their and back, f*cking stupid thing!

Had a great time as per usual. Many thanks to SirClive, Witchfinder and Arcadian and everyone else for all their great organisation. Good to catch up with Boggy, Marko and friends, Mug, Retro Rik (looks like we have a challenger for my Hypersports scores!). Ralph Milne, Pfroson, Colin. Met subzero (or is he steve_d on here) and others as well. And caught up with my mate who I met last year. Roll on the next one.

I am slowly getting through my photos and as I 'shop them, I am also uploading them to my Flickr account.

Feel free to use the photos on your own websites/blogs but non commercial use only and a small mention would be grand. :D

Even though I was officially working, I enjoyed myself immensely and can't wait for the next one. Roll on Replay Expo 2012!

We went for two days.
Had an excellent time - and rediscovered Mashed; a 4 player Micro Machines genre game on the XBOX.

Indeed - we enjoyed that so much we plan to play it again every week (We do a weekly games night). Only bad thing is that Mashed isn't XBOX 360 compatible :/

We took some photos of our experience.

Only let down was Nintendisco if we are honest. It sounded like it should have been so great on paper. Didn't really get it.
Also wish Ben Daglish and co had concentrated on a wider selection of games. And they really needed a violin :(

Overall awesome.

See you next year.
