Eastern Heroes/Made in Hong Kong

Post by thl » Wed Sep 28, 2011 9:45 pm

It's been a long time that I remembered those video publishers. Back in the 90s, it specialised films from the Far East that includes kung fu, swordplay, heroic bloodshed and of course category III.

The Eastern Heroes shops use to be located at Shaftesbury Avenue and Camden Town. It sell franchises (e.g. magazines, posters, etc.), videos and latest imports on Laserdisc and Video CD. Here it is:

Think I still got an issue that featured Jet Li in London.

Also here's the Made in Hong Kong video trailer reel:

Cool post, thanks. :)

I didn't know Eastern Heroes had shops aswell.

I've got a few MIA DVDs but the only VHS tape I have is God of Gamblers, I was happy to find it because I don't think a DVD was/is available over here.

I used to go past the one in Shaftesbury Avenue few times as it was around the corner from Chinatown. Yet the room was quite small when I first went there and was surrounded with shelves of VHS/Laserdiscs and posters on the wall. Still got the free catalogues from that place too.

Also the back issues are on this link:
