Re: Issue 93
Unlikely. It's just a classic case of Issue X features Y, Z and A and I like Y, Z and A this so is obviously a fantastic issuejdanddiet wrote:Have you had a personality transplant chip?

Re: Issue 93
actually as stated before many times I love the magazine and look forward to it's arrival each month, I do understand the mag isnt always going to have features tailored to everyone's tastes. But Ive always said I think the mag is great..
I do add my opinions on features that could have been better, or things in the mag that could be improved but it's only because I love reading it. Not sure where this idea that I always censored off the mag contents have come from.. I only said the letters page sucked.. (which I see is trimmed down this month haha)
A Simple thank you would have been nicer from the editor of a magazine I subscribe to and am therefore a loyal customer, or just a 'glad you like it' ..

Re: Issue 93
But if someone produces something you love shouldn't you be thanking them rather than the other way round?
Anyway, enough of my stirring. I can't believe the mag's here already. Been so busy lately I still haven't even finished the Sonic one!
Oh and Nodes of Yesod! SUPERB! That's a brilliant response to reader feedback, http://www.retrogamer.net/forum/viewtop ... 54&start=0 Thank you! (or should you be thanking me?

BOARD GAMES!!!!!
What on earth were they thinking, more like bored games.
I saw the article and instantly felt the urge to phone and cancel my subscription. (But didn't)

You'd cancel your sub because of a 6 page article on something you don't like! I assume that up to this point, every issue you have ever read must have been 100% liked by you. Maybe, just maybe you could actually read the article - maybe you would enjoy it? It didn't jump out at me when I saw it - but I just read it and I found the article to be a well put together, fun and strangely moreish

If we all posted stuff like that (canceling subs due to unliked articles) then the mag would have folded after the Amstrad issue!

Re: Issue 93
Well, I sat down after lunch to read it and found myself going cover to cover... a fantastic issue, and well done to everyone! Loved the board game feature and how it was laid out on the page (especially the boxes telling you what should be in the game, nice touch), and the very retro articles on Computer Space and Atari. But really, it was a great balance of material for all ages of retro, bringing things up to date with Galaga's 30th anniversary. Also like what you've done with the download round-up page.
And as you'll see from the next month page, the article I've been teasing here on the forum is a roundtable interview with five top Amiga artists, in similar style to the SID chip piece...

Re: Issue 93
It's not board games , it's game-related board games - there's a difference. Yeah while I agree that going too far off the beaten track would be a bad idea, this for me was fine. But we still need more features on table-top/electronic games!
Love the cover and some fabulous features (Yesod tops the lot) , but what gives with the redesign of the letters page? Not much forum input this month?

Because forum members were saying it was a waste of space, so we cut it down.paranoid marvin wrote:but what gives with the redesign of the letters page? Not much forum input this month?
