I was too young to notice. Had my NES in 1990 when I was four years old and didn't have any newer systems then until 1996 when I got the PlayStation.

Re: From the Forum Issue 90
For me it died the moment my best mate graduated from a C64 to an Amiga. I was still playing Spectrum games for years after he went all 16-bit on me, but somehow (after years of setting the Speccy and C64 up together, two TV's, arguing over which version of which game was the best) well, it was never quite the same. Mind you, it did set us up for years of Sensible Soccer, so it wasn't all bad!

Wish I could could actually program...

When I saw Marble Madness on the Amiga . .it opened my mind to the real possibilities of 16 bit computing and made me realise I wanted one... no... more that I NEEDED one.

Presume this question isn't going into the next issue now that the accompanying feature won't make it in?

I realised they had died when all i could buy when i went to the game shops/Whsmith's was the budget priced games. There were no new games being relesed just budget titles that were a few years old. Labels like Kixx etc were putting out loads of classics like Batman, Head over heels etc.

To me, 8-Bit Computers did not die, they are still alive and will always be. I have many of the Next Generation Consoles but I also own my C64 and Amiga 500, but Retro is still the Best Way to Go for Me.
