Any Ghost Recon owners?

To what effect is the 3D used in the game? I.E does it add anything tactical as such?.

Of all the 3DS games annouced so far, this is the most curious for myself, if only because of the talent involved in it's creation.

The last time a brand new Mario was available at launch was Mario 64 wasn't it?

The DS had the same game, if that counts :)

As I said, it's been a while.

Finally got Ridge Racer at the weekend after agreeing to do a car boot sale yesterday. Almost burnt to a crisp

Great game.

Just sold Pilotwings, was a good game while it lasted, but it could have been so much more if they had just included another island to explore :(
Only got SSF4 to keep me busy now but doubt i will ever tire of that!

Is there a solid release date yet for Kid Icarus?

Pilotwings was without doubt the most ridiculous launch title I've ever played. Took less than 2 hours complete, had a rubbish 3D effect and a bare-bones presentation.

Like you I got SF to keep me busy, thanks to the new control methods I'm actually really enjoying it. Online play is aces

Don't fooled by this one... it's £180 if you buy a Ubisoft title for 'only' £39.99!

Best deal I've since is play.com... e.g. 3DS and Ridge Racer = £209.00

Tesco not too bad either... e.g. 3DS and game of choice = £215.00

Surely that's £209 and £215?

I got my DS with Streetfighter and Ghost Recon. If i want to show off the 3D i show people streetfighter, if i want to play the 3DS and enjoy myself I play Ghost Recon. Having been a Gollop fan throughout my gaming life (Chaos, Rebelstar,Laser Squad, UFO EU et al) this was always going to be a definite purchase.

The game itself is great, have spent many hours on it, the 3D itself is an OK effect, nice to see the contour of the land etc, however it is merely cosmetic you could play with 3D off with no effect on the gameplay at all.

Still a must have game though

Good news! Earlier than I expected. I'm kinda waiting to see if any new colours are gonna be available for the 3DS as I'd really like a red one to match my XL and Wii, hopefully that will happen before Zelda and Star Fox comes out. Pretty glad I didn't trade in my XL for a 3DS as I now know DS games don't look too great on it.

I'd guess new colours will be out at least by Christmas. You never know they may do a golden 3DS bundle with Zelda, and a red budnle with Mario/Mario Kart. I can't make up my mind whether I like the aqua blue colour.

Yeah me too, the black just looks boring but the aqua blue just doesn't look that nice to me. I know it shouldn't really matter but I just have a thing for red consoles lol
