Maybe Castlevania: Harmony of Despair.

Redoing levels over and over to level up my abilities and collect rare loot drops. I did rinse through it very quickly though and the overpriced DLC stopped me going back.

Blood Stone. I get like this with every Bond game.

Gears of War on multiplayer. Along with a few friends we would play exexcution of Gridlock all night, taking on all comers.

As ever Football Manager (insert the latest incarnation here, currently 2011).

Over the years I have put so much time into these games it is scary, current save...about 50+ hours.

Wario World. It's the last game I completed but the first one in a while to get me really hooked and wanting to find everything.

Normally these days I mainly just play through a game to complete it but with Wario World I was determined to find all of the hidden stuff to effectively get 100% as I was liking the game so much. At one point I spent about 25-30mins just trying to complete one section so that I could collect everything and the last two levels took me around 2ish hours to finish off.

Demon's Souls.

But past games that i've just had to play moment i got in the door include Xcom, Buck Rogers:Countdown To Doomsday (MD).

Only downside often is that once you complete a game that's demanded every thing from you, when you (finally) go off and play something else, it seems 'lacking' compared to what you were playing. If that makes sense...

Fallout 3. According to Xbox.com I last played this on 10.08.09. It was Fable 2 before that. That I haven't been hooked in by anything else is quite surprising even though I've been feeling a bit jaded towards video games for a while.... perhaps since Aug 09!

Recently Hydro Thunder Hurricane and Pac-Man CE DX did grab me for a while but not to the extent of Fallout 3.

Chibi Robo. I don't think it has a whole lot of replay value and can get rather pointless after a certain point, but when I started the game merely for some casual playing, I ended up going hardcore with it for the next 2 days and blew through 20 hours quicker than I intended.
