I think they should revisit the genre with a new format and a retro section

Should Retro Gamer do a "Gore Special" 18 certificate one-off?

Think of it as getting all the smut, gore and controversial stuff done and dusted in one issue, retail only. I reckon it'd sell a pile.

I used to watch it & buy the magazines in the early 90's, over the last few months iv started watching through every episode, im up to series 4 now.
How did Dom Diamond get away with all the stuff he used to come off with and all the 'polishing his joystick' gags on daytime tv?

I actually bought a GM magazine a few months back, what a load of crap! never again.

Should Retro Gamer do a "Gore Special" 18 certificate one-off?

Used to watch GamesMaster all the time, but that Gore Special episode was the one I remember most. Especially the bit with someone calling himself the "Executioner" who reckoned he could pull off any fatality/finishing move on any fighting game for any system and was challenged with a string of random games/characters to demonstrate. He then proceeded to f*ck up the very first one (or maybe the second) and good old Dominik branded him "more like the Pant-ecutioner". Also remember that pile of crap 'Corpse Killer' on the Mega-CD featuring in the same episode.

I miss that too, was a good professional looking show but there seemed to be problems behind the scenes for some reason.
