i was mostly interested in seeing the saturn versions
interesting to see that brazil got an almost worse version of the saturn boxes
all cardboard ( apparantly)

Wouldn't have thought it possible for them to have milked another franchise to death quite like they did the Street Fighter series, but they certainly achieved it.

Personal highlights for me.

Megaman (Rockman) 9 Soundtrack I really like the pixelated cover.
The pseudo authentic Genesis game that you can get a "Willy Tower" on (tee hee, fnar fnar)
The fact that this proves yet again that Japanese gamers get the best covers

Thanks for all the comments everyone I'm kinda glad I never kept track of how much I spent on the collection as I'm sure if I did have a total I'd be sitting in a corner sobbing at all the money I spent on the collection

What would you say was the hardest and/or most expensive item to find?

The most expensive would have probably been the PAL version of Megaman X3 for the Snes. Its incredibly hard to find and seems to usually go for £300+ on eBay when it does appear. Mine wound up costing me £350

The hardest to find games would have been:
- PAL X3 for the Snes as mentioned above
- Megaman Legends for the PC boxed. Out of all the USA PC games this one was easily the hardest to track down. Haven't seen one appear on eBay since I picked it up a year or so back.
- Rockman X4 (big box). Like Legends the Japanese Big Box version of X4 wound up being a nightmare to track down (took a few years) but I did manage to get one pretty cheap (for what it is) when I did finally find it.

Good question I really started seriously collecting the series about 4 years ago and I usually spent 15-60 minutes searching eBay and yahoo japan a day. I dread to think how much time that amounts to!

Yeah the Brazilian Saturn X4 was pretty disapointing packaging wise. Plus the Brazilian post really battered it on its way to me

Thanks On the whole I do prefer the Japanese boxes as I prefer the anime art style they used to the more "realistic" look the other territories got. The MM9 soundtrack has great pixel art throughout the CD case and little manual as well.

Wow. Incredible. There's even a few games shown here I didn't realise existed (like the PS2 Rockman: Power Battle/Fighters collection).

The personal highlights for me are the pirate and doujin releases (that's some real dedication to the cause) and the signed Gutsman picture (from eBay, I take it?)

The Power Battle Collection was a very limited release from what I understand - as the USA got both arcade games ported for the Anniversary Collection, Capcom decided to release both as a stand alone pack for Japan.

The signed stuff was actually thanks to my brother. Both the Gutsman print and the DVD were signed at a Transformers convention as Gary Chalk and Scott McNeil have also voiced several TF characters over the years.

does the game inside come in a jewel case or something else ?
is it like the european version of virtua fighter remix ? ( a carboard slip case with a jewel case in side a design sega shoudl have kept instead of the abomination they went for )
