I will answer your questions in order....
Woody * When DJing I play breaks-tech-house-dnb-punk-rock-noise....honest....although cheese-trance sounds mighty interesting. Cheese & Trance....are they not the same thing? (heehee)
markopoloman * I have to answer C64 because I'm easily pleased with nice graphics and sound.

Well, Good choice - you have passed the test and may now partake in some forum banter with the rest of the membersdjcarlos wrote: markopoloman * I have to answer C64 because I'm easily pleased with nice graphics and sound.

The C64 was of course the only correct answer to the question

If, of course, the question was:
Which of these is for retards?

I can see you are not much cop at footie, Felge. You still have a Villareal player in your fantasy team!felgekarp wrote: The only types of games I have little interest in are Driving, Football and RPG's mainly due to being crap at them.

Uh-oh. Just realised that this is my first post in this thread...

Ah, well as we're all getting to know each other, I thought I better sign up and join the crowd.
It's Gary from Norwich Retro Gamers.
Probably one of the oldest 'retro' guys around here... 37..
I've been gaming since 1980, after moving to a little seaside village in Norfolk and being seduced by Astro Blaster in the local arcade. Parents bought us a Voltmace Database console. Upgraded (??) to an Aquarius, then got serious and bought an Atari 800XL (my favourite 8bit computer).
Worked in retail back in the mid-80's... One Step Beyond in Norwich (or Brainwave as I can remember it). And never really looked back.
I have a pretty decent collection from stuff like the ZX80 and Pet, through the 8bit and 16bit computers and consoles, and I stop at the Amiga 1200 and 3DO.
It's a passion, obession, and as many of you know, lots of fun.
The website is a sort of voyage of discovery for us Norwich gamers and I try and keep it updated. There is an article on the recent Game On exhibition which some of you might find interesting... check out www.retrogamers.org/article10.html
Yes, I'm stuck in the 80's... like the music, the films, and the games.. but i do escape to the real world to make a living unfortunately.
Regards,
Gary.

Crikey, I forgot to introduce myself!
I'm a programmer living in Kent and my first experiance with a computer was when my older brother got a ZX Spectrum 48K+ for Chrimbo...I think back in 1985? Yup, Learn-to-Read 4 was where it all began for me...
Nowadays I'm programming in C,C++ and Java, and have made a few games. My best one to date is a Forgotten Worlds-style shumup.
Trying to get into the games industry at the moment(not easy I can tell you!), but always working on that next game( Phantasy Star article in RG has me inspired!)...
