Favorite version of Final Fight's Soundtrack
So, let's hear it, what's everyone's favorite version of the first Final Fight OST?
I'm not putting in the Amstrad/Amiga/Commodore etc because they had no music and the ports were just awful.

My fave ones are the remixes you get on Streetfighter when playing as the final fight characters.
But in terms of actual games, Mega CD by miles

Forgot the GBA version. Edited.
My vote is for SNES. There's just something really special about the horns and bass in this version. While the best version of the game is by far the Mega CD/Sega CD version, I can't help but love the SNES' OST more.

I'm gonna take the original arcade actually. Something about the Mega CD soundtrack that I didn't like in places...

Double Impact for me, as you get a better remix than the Mega CD version. The arcade music iteslf is also brilliant, but I can't split my vote.

This - they did a fantastic job of several remixes for the Sodom/Rolento/Guy stages in the Street Fighter Alpha series. I'm really not that keen on the original soundtrack at all save for the odd couple of tunes, most of them grate on my nerves big time and I'm generally pounding a CD out while playing Final Fight on MAME! Don't remember how different the Mega-CD mixes were, though the game was certainly about the most arcade-perfect port you could get.Mootown wrote:My fave ones are the remixes you get on Streetfighter when playing as the final fight characters.

When you think you've got problems you don't really need,
They're maybe not as bad as they seem,
Cos in a world full of misery, with hatred and greed,
Your problems are another man's dream.

Voted for Double Impact - possibly with a slight bias since its the only version I play now (except when my ps3 doesnt have internet connection, grr) I loved the arcade soundtrack and thought that the DI remix was a solid reworking while still remaining faithful to the original. TBH it's been a while since I've heard the mega cd version but it wasnt all that memorable for me.
