Some of my faves...

Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

Re: Box Art
I like the Doom cover art a lot too. It's an iconic gaming image.
I love the art style of Killer 7 and the box does a good job of capturing the game's atmosphere.

Everything about WOTEF is cool so it's no surprise that I like the box art.
Excuse the size!
My favourites are probably the Beyond boxes. Psi Warrior, LoM & Shadowfire are superb.

I'd love to get some A1 or A0 posters of these or some high quality images so I could get posters printed.
Does anyone know if it was a particular artist(s) that did these covers?

I love the demon at the front of the Doom box, having a little cheeky look over his shoulder "Alright?"

Re: Box Art
This is far from my favourite, but ...

The cover for this was originally done really well by an artist working for DID, but then the publisher decided to do their own version. It's not even the plane that's used in the game! THQ also did a promo video for Juiced, and made an absolute mess of it with an early version of the game with wheels popping through bonnets, etc. All I'm saying is, I'm surprised covers actually come out being as impressive as they are now, what with publishers poking their noses in.

Ghouls n Ghosts and Strider for the Japanese MD - IMO the pal art of strider is rubbish. Waku Waku 7 & Garou for the Neo Geo AES. Contra Spirits for the Super Famicom the pal version (super probotector) is a completely different.
