Sonic, simply because it has spawned so many games, not all of them good mind. The original Mega Drive titles can't be beaten, although I am very interested in the upcoming Sonic 4.

Where's the "undecided" option? I can't decide whether to vote for OutRun or Sonic!

Every outing of OutRun has been great bar some dodgy home ports, but Sonic was (and will always be) my childhood hero. The MD games (bar Sonic 3D) were awesome. I watched Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog every weekend on Channel 4. I've still got my Sonic & Tails plush toys. I used to get Sonic the Comic every fortnight. Heck, I even had a Sonic The Hedgehog quilt and pillow set! I LOVE SONIC!!! :D :D :D

Unfortunately, many of the later games are bad. REAL BAD.

Oh, bugger it!

votes sonic

A close tie between OutRun and SoR... can't I have both?

It was hard to choose between Sonic and SoR, but I had to go with Sonic (well, the MD games anyway) as all of them are lots of fun where as SoR3 is a bit rubbish.

Outrun - always outrun. They had a machine in a local burger bar called Burger Junction - and I would spend money on playing the game in preference to buying burgers - and I am a fat greedy man.

Easy one for me, it's Outrun! just has to be :D

Probably the only game thats stayed true to its original concepted which made it so popular. Yes it went 3d but that was inevitable, yes it added extra modes and challenges, which again was ineveitable, but the main driving mode is still simple, thrilling and overall great fun.

P.S I don't think any of these other games provide a better muti-player experience.

Sonic - even though 90% of his games are crap, I'll never stop loving him...

It's close between outrun and SOR. But my vote is SOR

Outrun, no other game has ever had the impact for me of when i first caught this beauty running in Blackpool. The other releases wasn't to bad either.

I love the Sonic franchise dearly but I had to pick Outrun.

Going on family holidays down south to England and stopping off at motorway services...Trembling at the thought of finding a beloved Outrun cabinet and slotting in some 10 pences to get a short blast on the racer. I was useless as I never got to the arcades up with us what with living out in the sticks in the NE Scotland. Outrun.....That's what holidays were all about. Ahhh.....sheer bliss....And picking magical sound shower....Simply the very best game song ever. Bar none. I hope this is the next Let's Play. I'd love to hear other folks opinions on this perfect racer.

Can I post a link to the sega band?

Got to be Outrun. Still remember dribbling at the sight of the deluxe cab as a spotty youth and then spending all my holiday money on it...good times!

Thinking in the terms of the whole franchises' quality of games, I voted for Streets Of Rage. Whilst I love Shinobi and some of the earlier spin-offs, the franchise as a whole has been "tarnished" by stuff like The Cyber Shinobi and the GBA title Revenge of Shinobi.
