Thanks! :) ... As for Arsenal, sadly the developer passed away in 1996-98 time (John Ferrari). His daughter got in touch a few years back, but later went into hiding. She and her brother were very interested in getting their dad's disks preserved, including the likes of the Arsenal game. Apparently it was almost complete before Thalamus went under. If the daughter gets in touch again, then we might see something some day.

Before my annual leave is up, here's another update... this includes some nice findings on a few Beyond Belief titles (Beyond Belief were a company that came around late in the Spectrum/C64's lifetime and tried to fill the gap that Codemasters/Ocean etc left)

Full summary:

* 'Kayde' special (8 new entries from the obscure 1983 software house)
* 'Jimmy's Grand Prix' major update (Clearer screenshots, developer details, game details)
* 'Shove Off' / aka Pushover update (Another Beyond Belief title, more details from Jonathan Cauldwell)
* 'Caveman Ninja' and 'Flimbo's Quest 2' tunes added (Caveman Ninja in particular was a surprise)
* 'Thundercats V1' new entry added (What turned into Beyond The Ice Palace...)
* 'The Secret Path' new entry added

Wow, that Trojan on the Speccy looks *amazing*, what a nice conversion - I would have killed to play that in early '88, it was then my fave coin-op in Blackpool (though I never finished it as a nipper, probably Stage 3 max)! I played through it on the Capcom Classics Collection a couple of years back and discovered it to be a vastly over-difficult game, very unfair and frustrating.

The colour clash one looks really fast and playable - has it been speeded up?

A quick bit of digging shows that Flimbos Quest was being done by the same guy (Steve Lamb) who programmed the Amstrad game. So apart from being in monochrome, things should have been quite similar to the Amstrad version.

He mentioned in an interview (http://www.worldofspectrum.org/interviews/LambSteve.htm) that the game was actually completed and was unsure why it was never released. According to a news clip in an April 1991 issue of Your Sinclair, the game was due to be released straight onto compilation, which suggests that System 3 simply didn't release it due to dwindling support of the Spectrum back in 1990/91.

However - Steve in his interview mentions that he may still have it on disk somewhere. .. but the interview was back in 1997. Needs someone to chase him up if its findable :)

We have just released the full version of a neat platformer that never was called ‘Toxic’. This sadly never quite made it due to the dying C64 market in Poland back in 1996. Now it has finally been recovered.

GTW64 has just added the long lost spectrum conversion of Deathstalker, a Codemasters game from 1989. This game unfortunately never got fully completed due to memory issues and inexperience of the developer at the time.

As well as this game, the developer’s other title: Drax - Evilblood has also been added. Check them out at:
