OH YEAH! indeed! I'd completely forgotten about that one! Used to love that with the hairy, grinning spider. Gonna have to check out some episodes online now...Roo wrote:Ladies and gentlemen...Spider In The Bath!

OH YEAH!
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

Mighty Heroes! Ropeman, and that baby... Ralph Bakshi made that, the same Ralph who "did" Fritz the Cat, Heavy Traffic, American Pop, Lord of the Rings, and the New Adventures of Mighty Mouse, amongst other things.felgekarp wrote:Anybody remember things like The Robonic Stooges, The Mighty Heroes and Fangface?

There's one I used to remember watching on Betamax called Gideon. It was a french cartoon, but Tim Brooke-Tayor did all the voices when Thames got the rights to screen it. He was a swan with a long neck and had a Dog, a Mole, a Rabbit, a Crow and another animal as his friends and would go on different adventures. I was only about 2 when I first saw it, and I still have the Betamax tape with the episode on.
Anyone?

I remember Gideon. Even as a child I thought 'this is a bit gay'. I think it was the theme tune that really did it. 'Its Gideeeeeoon'.

I remember Gideon, but only from one freaky bit when someone was stuck down a well and Gideon swam to the rescue. I seem to remember the well having loads of U bends in it and Gideon was doing this freaky U-bend move which should've split him in half. Don't ask me why, but I seem to relate it to Mario Bros for some reason!

Oddly enough I can't find anything on You tube for Gideon the cartoon, would be interested if anybody else does.
