Re: (sigh) Favourite Adverts Ever!
I remember an advert I saw once for budweiser and it was just a close up of the bottle with a single drip of condensation rolling down it. The music sounded like it belonged in an early 80's kids program, like the boy from space or similar.
I only ever saw it once but the tune stuck in my head, I'd love to see it again. It was about 10 years ago, around the era of the wassup! censored.

I've been looking for this one for ages too.bonerlaw wrote:My favourite I will never find.....an old Lucozade ad from around the time of Prodigy's "Firestarter". An elderly american gent in a Jonny Cash style is going to sing a nice song about a boy and his puppy, drinks some Lucozade, and turns into a pee-take of The Prodigy's Keith Flint!
Wish i could find it again!
"Here's a new song, about the love between a little boy, and his puupy...."
The tune is 'Leave You Far Behind' by Lunatic Calm, and was used in The Matrix movie soundtrack, it was slightly remixed for the ad...

Another old favourite! That one with the squirrl in it.
I never knew what it was for, due to being four or five at the time, but the YouTube recommendations thingy just answered all my questions in one go

Anyone remember this one? I had really vivid memories of this from when I was a toddler and only recently found it on Youtube. Great music!

Here's another classic with a great tune:

Then of course there's the mother of all 80s TV adverts:

Don't remember the Sunkist or lager ones - but those Weetabix Skinheads were a favourite of mine. You'd never get something like that nowadays, ho ho!

One of my fave adverts is the volvic ones with Tyrannosaurus Alan and the volcano. They always make me laugh. The Kia-ora adverts with the animated characters singing "I'll be your dog" were good too.

Due to the fact that I can't find the old 'Butterkist! Butterkist! Ra! Ra! Ra!' advert anwhere on the net, I'll have to plump for this Smith's Crisps ad as a second best....

The new Weetabix advert is up there. First advert in ages to make me laugh out loud!

The one with the horses? Saw that for the first time today, wonderful stuff!
Also, never seen that Smith's one before, but it's now my favourite.
And it made me remember this one, the sexiest advert of all time!

Anyone remember that Ambrosia advert with the farmer and the crazy song? Always made me laugh.
I also remember some advert for painkillers involving roadworkers and another silly song. Can't remember much about it though except it was a 90's thing.
Then there was a Dairylea Dunkers advert where a T-Rex chases an attractive cave woman, picks her up screaming and dunks her in cheese before biting her head off...I was kid but even then, I remember thinking "what a waste"
. Seriously, I really didn't like that advert.

"Oooh-ARRR, where the sheep go baa, Oooh-ARRR, it's Ambrosiarrrgh..."
That's the one.
Forgot about that Dairylea one, another favourite. Also, that one for Chewits with the big monster eating all the chewy things (boats, tires, etc.), and the one for Connect 4, with Godzilla and King Kong playing the game with squashed cars.

I don't know what it was that I didn't like about that ad...it wasn't scary or anything just...I thought it was horrible way to die or something. Is it silly to feel sorry for a character in an ad? Probably.TwoHeadedBoy wrote: Forgot about that Dairylea one, another favourite.
Another funny one (and a pretty recent one too) is the one for Crusha with those cats singing that song.
"Add milk or we'll Crusha!"
