Been playing TNA Wrestling, which is a turn-based wrestling game. It's as amazing as it sounds. Also sunk an insane amount of time into Drop 7

Sink more, sir—you need to start challenging me and Stu in the high-score table! (Have you seen the globals? There are some seriously freaky gamers out there, getting 1m+ on Hardcore mode.)Darran@Retro Gamer wrote:Also sunk an insane amount of time into Drop 7
@Greyfox—Not really my area, but Flight of the Amazon Queen (£2.99) is supposed to be pretty good.

To me this is all just a pop fad like face book (which I have still resisted and currently have no desire to join).
I've looked through the thread here and it has swayed my opinions slightly but not enough to part with actual money.
All around me at work nearly everyone has an iphone and i'm being driven crazy with talk of 'apps' this and 'apps' that. We now have to use this brew making app to decide whos making the brews
and today one of my collegues actually pretended to attack me with his light saber app in the middle of the office
Just out of principle i must resist joining in with all this... for now

My sympathies Rupert, my best mate is an iPhone apphead - he gets it out more often than a flasher gets his willy out to show me the apps. Some are amusing, but, got to agree with you, there is a fadish element to this. Still, it makes him happy.rupert wrote:To me this is all just a pop fad like face book (which I have still resisted and currently have no desire to join).

Yes they do work on the iPod Touch.
Not sure if people know, but Konami games are all reduced for the next few days.

Real Racing is pretty damned impressive. Else I picked up Silent Scope as I loved it on the DC. Not to sure about this port though, it feel a little slow.

Re: Post your iPod Touch games here
Anything that can play Monkey Island with voices and new graphics is not a fad. I was up 'til 2 last night wandering around Melee Island. It's been a while since a game has done that to me. Minor interface issues aside, I would have to say this is the definitive version of a legendary game. Highly recommended.
Do not, however, buy Streets of Rage. I couldn't resist and now I hate Sega. It is the first app that has made me actually consider writing to Apple and demanding my money back. The word 'slow' does not even begin to describe this disaster. Even the intro music is unlistenable due to slowdown. I can't believe they even tested this?
Monkey is great though
