volfied hi-score
just got a hi score on Volfied of 230700. It's quite easy if you kill the main bad guy with the super shot. You get a bonus of 100000 for that.
I was on normal setting, by the way.
Let's get a bit of a battle going here!

Re: volfied hi-score
I must have been playing on easy, since I got 430000 something, and that was only 3 or 4 stages in. Can you cause the super shot to appear? I've had it a couple of times but don't know what triggers it.virtvic wrote:just got a hi score on Volfied of 230700. It's quite easy if you kill the main bad guy with the super shot. I find that if you get the boxes one by one even if it is easier to cut the whole screen and get them all at once. You get more chance of an extra bonus box.
Once I killed the bad guy with a normal Laser and not the meaty no-aim type laser, but this may be my lousy short term memory.
Current High-479430 house hold record
P.S. re. Bubble bobble rules, are you allowed Power up- and Original Game..? Are they realy cheats as they were required to get the "true ending"
one (first) credit, assisted by player two (three lives setting)
1303140
(with power up and original game)

Presumably if you're playing these games on PS2/X-box you're using a pad?
I've tried to play with a pad ,but it's not for me,
unless I'm playing a new title (eg Pro Evo)
I took the plunge and bought an x-arcade on ebay
It's a fantastic bit of kit, well worth the £80 ish I paid for it
Although I still use my Competition Pro for Spectrum/c64 /Amiga

I've got the 2player x-arcade plus adapters for PC, DC, Xbox, CG and PS2. Had it for a couple of years now. It's a great sturdy bit of kit. It rocks for Mame (2 player metal slug or Final fight are my favourites) and when playing games on the Gamcube with the GBA player.
One complaint is that the stick doesnt quite give enough resistance in my opinion - it's easy to select up by mistake when wanting to return to the centre position. Apparently you can adjust the switches to make it more to your taste, I'll have to look this up.
