for me, it has to be world cup carnival

i bought the cpc version, back in the day...and alough the free flags sayed on my green screen for many a year, i couldnt get over the crapness of the game, from the sounds (None!) to the gameplay..absoultly dire..

I didnt realise till many a year later that it was a re-release of an old game, but then again i was only 7 when i bought it as an xmas pressie!

It did have a "Practice/workout" session before the main game, but that was a mess too...

Overall, i have fond hateness of this in cup carnival!

Has to be rise(able) of the robots tbh. No question!
What was more amazing to me was the challenge of making it work on the less capable Commodore 64. It was a real nightmare implementation, but I did it. - Archer Maclean

World cup Carnival for me.

4 reasons,

1. It was CRAP on the C64
2. It on a Speccy - so I dread to think what it plays like!
3. It's Football - and football is BOLLOX! (unless its the old sensi)!
4. No Guns

although rise of the robots has parity with that air traffic control game i previously mentioned, in this contest it has to be rise of the robots, complete censored!

Highlander. It's the only one I've actually played.

Highlander, because it looked and played bad.

ROTR at least looked purdy.

WCC was a passable game, though dated - I know I played plenty of the Artic version.

Highlander was a huge let down - it didn't have the action it needed, it didn't look like the film, it just let me down in every possible way. Dire, with no redeeming features.

Highlander for me, I guess I was carried away by the style of the film!
I don't think the person who programmed the game had seen the film or even heard of it!

Voted for ROTR.

I have never owned any of the three, and have in fact never played Highlander or World Cup Carnival.

However, I have played the amiga version of ROTR under UAE. Great still graphics did not compensate for the crap animation and absolutely dire gameplay. Even my speccy adventure game is more fun to play, and that's not even anywhere near completion!

Glad I didn't buy this :D

ROTR for me, I have to say that all the nominees require erasing from history .. but ROTR was soooo darn expensive too .. So not only did it fool you with such purdy gfx and then played like a dead dog (I can remember the screams of "is this IT ????" even now) ... your wallet got a hammering too .. lose - lose ...

Rise of the Robots, because its the only one that hasn't got (Spectrum) after its name. Surely WCC was as bad on other systems so why pick on the ZX :(
