Pizza Hut to Pasta Hut eh?

Post by resident paul » Mon Oct 06, 2008 3:53 pm

Wot's this changing it's name to Pasta Hut.
Political correctness gone barking made may I say so.

Read the artical about it & still found it stupid.

they are obviously struggling a bit so going for a "healthy" change!

I happen to like their greasy brand of pizza, great after a few beers!!

I'm shocked. Their pasta has always been terrible. I guess the pizzas aren't the most healthy things ever invented, but I can usually get around sixteen slices down on an empty stomach.

The funny thing is that pasta will make you fat just as easily if you're a couch potato. When you think about it pizza is just cheese on toast with some extra bits.

The lesson here is that no matter how obvious your publicity stunt is, someone will fall for it.

I've seen the adverts all this week so far. Looks like this is a serious attempt by Pizza Hut/Pasta Hut!

Publicity stunt to promote it's pasta. It is only temporary.

OMG!

Just another marketing ploy to get our custom. Are Pizza Hut doing that badly that they need to resort to this!

More like Pasta Saucer though. Anyone used a Pizza Hut Pasta and Salad bar??. They give you a bowl that frankly wouldn't cover my balls if my trousers fell down.

You then have to pile the stuff high to get your moneys worth, meaning you have to make your way back to the table like a performing seal balancing a ball, which in turn means people look at you, which then allows them to see your plate piled high with pasta and salad making you look like a greedy c**t, at which point you want to proclaim loudly, 'I'M NOT GREEDY, ITS A LITTLE BOWL! '

Pasta Hut?, my sweaty ar*e crack!.

That was their second choice for the temporary rebrand, in order to communicate to potential diners the true taste of their products.

Exactly, a decent proportion of the stores don't even sell Pasta (the express ones) so it couldn't be universal.

An experiment to see if a snobbish name gets more customers. £18 million for that name change? Doesn't look as if they are affected by the credit crunch are they. Maybe they could lend the Government a couple of mill to save some of the banks from the current financial turmoil.

This is like the Jif to Cif thingy a few years ago, and most famously Marathon to Snickers! :D
