Watched 'Doomsday' last night. Enjoyable enough mix of 'Mad Max 2' meets 'Escape from New York' by way of '28 Days Later' set in Glasgow providing you check your brain in at the door.
Also watched 'Outpost' which wasn't too bad for a straight to DVD movie. Reminded me of 'The Keep' meets 'Deathwatch' with undead Nazis.
Finally on the more quality side I have also been watching 'Private Shultz' which is still an absolute classic 27 years after it was first shown and I can remember them filming parts of it on the beach near where I used to live.

Cue the music, fade to black...

The only good think about the remake is that is has Harry Shearer, Hank Azira and Nancy Cartwight in it - It always cracks me up that the character Hank plays sounds like a cross between Moe and Apu and Harry's character sounds like Kent Brockman!pottyboy wrote:Speaking of classics, I watched Godzilla on wednesday evening... the 1954 japanese version that is, not the dodgy US remake with Matthew Broderick!
The dry fart for Barry MacDermot and all the cancer patients in the Glamorgan testicle ward

Watched Pirates of Silicon Valley the other day. Also saw the end of the Sarah Connor Chronicles and moved on to series 2

censored, has it really been TWENTY FOUR YEARS since the first Terminator!?thl wrote:I watched The Terminator on Bravo last night. Haven't seen for a long time and quite close to being obscure. Can't believe how dated it looked after 24 years. Apart from that, it's another classic sci-fi film in the 80s.
Realisations like this scare me a little bit.

Saw Death Race with my dad yesterday evening. Originally we were going to see Taken with Liam Neeson (Qui-Gon in Star Wars Episode 1), but was put off at the last minute by some poor reviews from the critics, so saw this one instead.
Good movie, especially if you like your films to have lots of action, blood, fast cars and sexy girls!

It does look like a good popcorn flick! I liked the original, so I'll probably go check it out!pottyboy wrote:Saw Death Race with my dad yesterday evening.
