I was really disappointed with Shenmue II. When it got to that stupid book carrying job you had to do (for seemingly ages!), I sold it. I had a REAL cruddy job, didn't need a simulation. :)

I'm currently trying to get through IO on the C64 (...why do I get the urge to play through C64 games when games these days are meant to be so much better). It's still rock-hard, but practice is making perfect...

Whilst in my C64 mood, I've been picking up on lots of other favourites, I guess the highlights so far would be:
- Green Beret
- Nebulus
- IO (as mentioned above)
- Zamzara (still undecided as it's not one I've played alot of before)
- and the usual suspects (delta, nemesis, paradroid etc)

I'm currently playing Braid on X Box Live.
Retro feeling, being a simple to get into platformer, but the ability to shift time really makes you think on every level.

I'm both enjoying it, and being frustrated by it !

It takes a little while to get going, the first disc feels like an introduction to Hong Kong with little action and more exploration around the quarters. I felt it was disc 2 when things really got going (the whole thing with Ren is awesome), and I really loved disc 3 since it was really action packed for almost the entire disc.
Not sure I liked it more than the first, but then the atmosphere in both games are very different.

I'm continuing on with Poenix Wright 3. Finally on the last case and its really interesting, not to mention hilarious!
I've also just completed Act 1 of COD4. WOW! such a great game, wish I hadn't waited a year to pick it up. The graphics are especially amazing.

Soulcaliber IV on 360, a little dissapointed with it. The single player is a bit of a slog and online has even more cheating-disconnecting little sh*ts than usual.
