How about an article on the pre-VCS cartridge enabled pong-type TV-Games systems that many of the forum members, and probably a fair percentage of readers, had?

Systems like the Colourstars or Grandstand TV-Games were the first type of interactive home entertainment machines available to the general public.

A lot of people don't even know that some of these types of system took cartridges and wern't stuck with the built-in supplyed games!

Isn't that in the current issue? Or am I thinking of the one with JetPac on the cover from a year and a half ago? I got that from the back issues site and it arrived the day the current issue came out, so I have trouble remembering what's in which.

Edit: Never mind, I was thinking of Part 2 of the SNK feature in Issue 39 (the JetPac one).

I would like a review of Simpsons games, most are of course poor but you could get to put Homer on the cover!

After the latest issue with the review of the Spectrum SEUD, a making of SEUCK would be nice. The original version just seemed to randomly come out of nowhere and for its time at least, was out of this world. Amiga and ST versions weren't bad either really but unlike the C64 program, it was much harder to come up with something impressive.

I dunno if anyone here has paid attention, but some of the more recent games made with it are shockingly good.

I've pitched this a few times. It's one of the very few times I've done an interview without a commission, because I was chatting to Jops about some other Sensi stuff at the same time. The current pitch is a making-of, followed by a 'perfect ten' sort of DPS (or a single page, if space and budget are tight) highlighting the best SEUCK games. Also, the sideways version by Jon Wells would be mentioned.

As always, it's up to the in-house team whether this article ever appears in the mag.

i know that speccy ended up in drag called the Timex something or other in the states.

the only ideas i had was a classic gaming compo amongst the programmers behind those classic games (but playing eachothers games, not their own game)

Also A review (an original review, i.e at the time of launch and a modern reflection on that review) of all the launch titles for each generation of computer and gaming system

i.e VES/Channel f, Studio 1/2 and VCS etc

Atari 400/800, Vic 20, Spectrum, Apple, Cbm Pet

C64/128, Atari Xl/e, Spectrum +2 etc

NES/SMS, PC Engine etc

MD/Snes etc

Lynx/Gameboy (and variants) Game Gear/Turboexpress etc

Jaguar, N64, PS, Saturn etc

I'd love to see something on the really early days of computer gaming in UK. That ZX81 article was great, but maybe some stuff on the Jupiter Ace, Acorn Atom, UK101.

I'd like to see some more room dedicated for the large beat 'em up competitions that appear year on year. We've just had America's Evolution Tournament and as I'm typing the largest and most prestigous event Tougeki aka Super Battle Opera is on! Last month was the UK's biggest event so far in Battle of Destiny in London and I'm sure China's The Great Battle (a KOF fest) is due soon.

Come on RG, there's plenty of mileage in them.
