Crikey. Is it that time already?
Anyway, this month we'd love to know what your favourite Konami game is.

Im sure lots of the old favourites will be mentioned so I will go slightly off centre:
Penguin Adventure for the MSX - think its one of the best looking, best playing 8-bit games ever - Much more fun than Mr Kojima's future interactive Playstation stealth movies
The dry fart for Barry MacDermot and all the cancer patients in the Glamorgan testicle ward

My favourite spin off from the Gradius series, Salamander, for two reasons. 1) it was the highlight of Butlins 1986; and 2) Its the only C64 game I've bought twice, it being so good a 'mate' nicked my first copy.

International Superstar Soccer. So challenging it took so long to score a goal. Damn that keeper!

For making trips to lessons at Wigston swimming baths almost bearable: Frogger.
...or possibly Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon on the N64 - for that opening song!

Ooh, that's a difficult one... i'd probably have to say Gradius for turning my personal love of shoot 'em ups into something a little shy of an obsession, proving it's possible to write a piece of music that doesn't get irritating despite only being 30 seconds long and that power-up bar that so many 1980s games imitated. =-)

Metal Gear Solid. I got this when I first got a Playstation, and I was blown away by it. I've played through this more times than any other game. An absolute classic, and one of the best games ever made.

Sexy Parodius! Takes one of my favourite ever shooters and wraps it all up in a healthy portion of mushroom-muddled mania. Great title! One of the few games that is actually genuinely weirder than the games of my dreams. Also great for scaring people at sophisticated dinner parties.
