Favourite 80's classics

Post by CLOADM » Mon May 05, 2008 2:09 pm

For some it's Krull, for some it's Tron, for others it's Beastmaster and for still others, it's not. What's your fave chessy 80's classic? I have to go for Tron. I saw it with a bunch of other Sinclair/Commodore kids when i was 12 and it hasn't let go since....

Don't find any of those movies cheesy. Chose Tron.

Hmm, maybe cheesy was the wrong word, for some of them at least. Fun, then.
Certainly didn't describe them as cheesy out of dislike, as i love 'em all...!

I went with Labyrinth, Ive watched both in the last couple of years on DVD and found Tron to be pretty boring. I remember it being better. Labyrinth still holds it's own in terms of effects, costumes etc, quality story line and characters aswell.

Linda Blair, David Prowse and some more that I can't remember.

The Heroes people were Isaac Mendez and his girlfriend Simone.
Just bought tickets for the 3 day Heroes convention in November. Hope they have some good people at that.

I've gone for Labyrinth. Only saw it for the first time last year but it is a fantastic film. Great characters, great story, great special effects and lots of funny gags. Heck, it even has great music!

Saw Tron a few months back. It's good (considering it was the first film to use CGI) but it hasn't aged well at all.

Dragonslayer is also worth a mention. Sure, it's cheesy as hell but the dragon is awesome! :D
