Knight Lore for me. Just blew me away when it first came out, used to spend tons of time marvelling at the graphics.

Baldurs Gate is another, when you finally leave the castle at the beginning youre in this huge great world, birds moving around singing. Great game

Tomb raider on saturn.......bloody great...we used to play it in my parents bedroom with the lights off. Parents had an awsome pro logic(...digital was just coming out!!) suround system.....ten inch sub!!!

Most eerie game I`ve played.
Holy Crap mums don`t know the value of their kids VIDEO SYSTEMS!

Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are superb, now I've finally got the chance to play them I can see what all the hype was about...

The one game I can remember going WOW at was Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast... But the thing is that I only saw it for the first time last year having owned a PS2 for quite a while, so to me that shows just how gorgeous that game looks...

Also in it's own way I find the neon chaos of Geometry Wars rather beautiful. And the first time I cruised Vice City in a helicopter was rather awe-inspiring too... :D

My choices would be....

Eternal Sonata on the 360
Last Ninja on C64 (at the time anyway)
Kings Quest 5 on PC (it was just such an amazing step up from the C64)

I remember when I first clapped eyes on Soul Calibur in a magazine DC:UK and I couldn't believe the detail in it. By the time I actually bought it I'd already played Dead or Alive 2 which actually looked better technically speaking than SC, not artistically though. I still think the first SC is the best looking of the series for that reason.

It sure was. I wanted Monster Land for years and years but never saw it anywhere. I finally saw it on eBay a year or two ago so I bought it, but the tosser selling it 'magically' neglected to mention that it didn't have an instruction book :(

I think my old answer is gonna have to be changed. Having completed it now, I have to say that Bioshock is the most beautiful game I've ever played, and them water effects! :shock:
