Mm. I'm very happy with how that's turned out. (I was hoping it'd end up with an old-skool layout, rather than the generic one.) Alan was so generous with his time, too, so hopefully the end result reads well. It's also good to get another arcade making-of in the mag, I think.

Seems like a good issue (mine's just arrived, had a quick flip thru). I'm quite keen on page 110 for personal reasons, LOL.

Dig the cover too.

Can't wait to stop decorating and have a proper read ...

I think the cover looks cool.

Am really looking forward to reading the Magic Carpet article, great game, spent months playing it.

Thanks also for the extra PC coverage in recent issues. I moaned about a lack of coverage in the past so it's only fair I show my appreciation

For PC stuff, you might want to also check out RG's sister title, Total PC Gamer, which has a fairly substantial retro section.

The latest issue of PCZone arrived in the same post as the new RG - just had a flick through that and there is a little snippet on page 107......

It goes on about the game advertising a mag thats not published by Future - but its so good that they had to mention it! AND they gave the link

Also - they have Magic Carpet 2 in the retro section!!!!

I get the feeling he didn't read, or doesn't remember the actual review itself, if I'm not mistaken it was still fairly constructive (the main negative being game speed on a lowly 500)

On a more positive note, great to hear Will Wright talking about Raid on Bungeling Bay!

Which one? The Operation Wolf style gun game on the Arcade or the left to right run and gun/motorcycle Megadrive game or the 8-bit/16-bit Home Computer game?
