Toughest Bosses Ever!

Post by Nightbreed » Sun Mar 26, 2006 4:36 pm

Having recently played Renegade on MAME, I have been getting my arse kicked by Big Bertha (level 3 boss). She's one tough cookie........

Not just her though. M.Bison from Street Fighter 2, Monster Island boss (Dracula) and the Brain Boss from Midnight Resistance have all given me headaches.

C'mon everyone, which bosses have made you throw you joypads across the room in fury???

Out of those, Big Bertha. Mr Big is a pain too.

Well I've mentioned it on another thread but Diddy Kong Racing. I've justy never been able to beat Wizpig in it.

I hate it.

And yes I've thrown the pad a few times on it. I actually can't play any game on the N64 anymore because I get flashbacks of that boss when I have the controller in my hands.

Well I know I always say it, but the Emerald underwater weapon in FF7 is goddamn impossible.

I literally had to spend *weeks* building my character in just the right way in order to be able to finally beat this thing.

Note, here, the fact the players have 9999 health, and seem to die very quickly :( The underwater time limit is a bit moot, because you're usually dead long before you run out of air.

I actually found that with a bit of practice, Jammy Jim wasn't that hard to beat. A 9 dart finish gets easy after a while.

For me the hardest boss was definitely Scumocide from Captain Commando... what a pain in the friggin' aris!

The boss i had most trouble with, was the last boss on Revenge of Shinobi. The one with the long hair.

Out of the choices I would have to go with Bison. Mind you Akuma really got on my nerves for a while and don't even get me started on Evil Ryu

I voted for Big Bertha as she was a pain in the arse as you had to get your timing right when she runs at you.

The hardest boss at the moment is the final boss of Tekken5 - he has already caused the death of one controller.

I never fought the weapons in FFVII due to you needing the Nights of the Round materia and I just could not bring myself to spend all that time breeding chocobos. For some reason I never completed FF8, 9 or 10. I think it was due to boss characters.

I bred a gold chocobo by sheer luck. That was great. To be honest, I found FFX really quite easy after FFVII - though I could never defeat the evil aeons in FFX so didn't bother.
