No thread for this yet?
Sega are releasing a port of the Saturn classic NiGHTS into Dreams for PS2. It will apparently feature updated graphics, a new widescreen 16:9 mode and some bonus features (Gallery options etc.). Two versions will be available, normal package for 3990JPY and a limited edition version for around 5000JPY.

Play-Asia have it listed for a
February Release. I now feel totally justified in selling my JPN-Saturn when I did.

I don't expect it to. The PS2 will soon be in that 'winding down' stage that means that the only PAL games released are for seven year olds or updates of FIFA and Need for Speed.

I'm in denial
Is nothing sacred, Sega?
What next - a mobile phone version of PD Saga?
Thoughts and prayers.

I dunno Rossi, as great a games as Saturn NiGHTS is, the graphics are a hinderence. If this update has a much further draw distance than the original as well as improved graphics then it's gonna be an essential purchase as far as I'm concerned.
I'm thinking Limited Edition version too. "Mmmm.....limited edition. *Gurgle*".

It's like being all pleased and loved up with your beautiful new girlfriend, only to find out that everyone's had her. And got pictures of it.
Thoughts and prayers.

Haha!
I disagree though, these are two games that will truly benefit in the gameplay department from updated graphics.
Great news about Burning Rangers, thanks Mike!

If they'd showed the same enthusiasm for the Dreamcast that they have for the P1sS 2 and Wii, things might have worked out differently. Burning Rangers and Nights, not to mention Panzer Dragoon, for Dreamcast would have been a shot in the arm for the beleagured machine. Rather than shooting themselves in the feet more than once with their rubbish, cheap-suit-blinded money-grubbing.
Damn you, Sega.

Thoughts and prayers.

Amazon.co.jp now has the Limited Edition version up for sale. Seems it comes with a lovely art book:

Totally agreed
Bad news as far as I'm concerned, this game should stay on the Saturn where it belongs. It won't feel right playing it with the DS2.
